Privacy policyHow we look after your details
Hoarding clean ups are private by nature. This page explains what we collect when you contact us, what we do with it, and what we never do.
Last updated 12 October 2026.
Who we are
Hoarder Cleanup is a family business based in Sydney, New South Wales. This website is hoardercleanup.com.au. You can reach us on 0416 898 507 or at info@hoardercleanup.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We never discuss a job, or share photos of it, with anyone but the person who engaged us. If you asked for unmarked vehicles or plain clothes, that request stays between us and the crew.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote or contact us. Your name, phone number, email address, the suburb of the property and anything you write in the message box. If you text or email us photos of the job, we keep those with your enquiry.
When you call us. Your phone number and the time of the call, the same as any phone. Calls made from the phone number in our Google ads go through a Google forwarding number, so Google also records that a call happened, its length and the area code. Google does not record the conversation and neither do we.
When you use the website. Standard usage data such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the device and browser you use, and a rough location from your IP address. This comes from the analytics tools described below, not from anything you type.
When we do the job. The address, access details, what is to be kept and what is to go, and notes about the work, so we can quote, book and complete it properly.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a quote
- To book, carry out and invoice the job
- To contact you about the job before, during and after
- To keep business records we are required to keep, such as invoices
- To understand how people use this website and whether our advertising works
We do not sell your details, rent them out or add you to a marketing list. We do not send newsletters. If you hear from us, it is about your job.
Who else sees it
A small number of service providers process information on our behalf so the website and the business can run. They can only use it for that purpose.
- Web3Forms delivers the quote form to our inbox.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) measures website visits and which ads lead to calls and enquiries. Google Ads also handles the forwarding numbers on our ads.
- Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (scrolling, taps, clicks) so we can improve the site. Clarity masks anything you type into a form.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and keeps standard server logs for security.
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. We do not otherwise send your information overseas. We will share information if the law requires it, for example a court order.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar identifiers set by Google and Microsoft for the analytics and advertising measurement described above. They do not identify you by name. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out, or adjust your Google ad settings. The site works without them.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a job are deleted within 12 months. Records of jobs we have done, including invoices and the details needed to complete them, are kept for seven years to meet Australian tax and business record requirements, then deleted. Analytics data is kept for the period set by each provider, which is 14 months for Google Analytics.
Keeping it safe
Enquiries arrive in a password protected business email account and job details are kept with our business records. Only the family members who run the business and the crew working on your job see them. The website is served over HTTPS.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@hoardercleanup.com.au or call 0416 898 507 and we will respond within 30 days. We will delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first and we will try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information we will update this page and the date at the top. Questions about any of this: info@hoardercleanup.com.au.
